Our 3m range carries top loads from 4.0kg up to 6.0kg, which covers most standard whip, dipole, Yagi and small dish antennas. If you're mounting heavier equipment, a shorter mast in the same range typically offers a higher load rating.
For short-range UHF, CB and line-of-sight VHF work, 3m is often enough to lift the antenna clear of vehicles, cabins or nearby buildings. For longer-range comms or heavily obstructed sites, a 5m or 6m antenna mast usually performs better.
