A 3 metre packed mast collapses down to 3.0m for transport and storage, making it slightly longer than a 2m packed version but capable of far greater extended heights. It suits teams who need more reach without stepping up to a lattice tower.
Extended heights in this range go from 5.33m up to 16.0m, with top loads from 3.0kg to 9.5kg. That gives you significantly more reach than a 2m packed mast while staying road-transportable.
A 2m packed mast is the most portable option, but a 3m packed mast reaches taller extended heights in the same telescopic style. Choose 3m packed if maximum height matters more than absolute compactness - most 4WDs, vans and roof tubes still accommodate a 3m unit.
They're commonly used for tactical and emergency communications, environmental monitoring, remote broadcasting, surveying, and any deployment where a taller antenna is needed but the mast must still fit inside a vehicle.
